Katey spent an afternoon meeting with our friends from Saheli. Saheli is a small initiative founded by a woman to help other women in her community by offering training and employment through textile crafts. Some women are involved with embroidery, and others with applique. They make amazing tablecloths, bed covers, and kurtis. While Katey wasn’t able to make it out to their main shop in Faizabad (about a 2.5 hour drive from Lucknow), they were gracious enough to meet with her in Lucknow.

Katey picked up a couple different sizes of table covers, bedspread, cushion covers, and chiffon scarves. She will also be working with them to order a few custom pieces in our favorite colors. So, if you want to see a particular color combination, leave comments!
