Francesca and Claudia arrived in Jaipur this morning after a train ride from Delhi. As a first-timer to India, Claudia found Jaipur to have a more “Indian feel” than the much bigger city of Delhi, though she’s happy to have survived her first day on the roads. She thinks traveling by rickshaw in Jaipur is quite thrilling. Francesca mixed in a little work with some sightseeing. She bought some more block print scarves and Claudia found she had to get a few, too. After their shopping was done, they relaxed at the Royal Gaitor Tombs on the northern edge of Jaipur. It’s a peaceful spot to spend some quiet time . The complex contains beautiful and intricately carved stone mausoleums of Jaipur’s royal family.
