Have you always wanted to explore the history and wonders of Turkey? Join Katey as she travels from the bazaars of Istanbul to the caves of Cappadocia to the ruins of Ephesus. And all along the way she’ll show you the best handicrafts and the highlights of this amazing region at the crossroads of history!
The adventure will start in Istanbul with a tour of the heart of the city. Along the way we’ll see the Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace, the Aya Sofia, and much more! We will go on a guided tour through one of the top food markets and build our own picnic which we’ll eat in a park like a true Istanbuli. From Istanbul, we will fly to Cappadocia. We’ll stay in the world famous cave hotels, and explore the valleys either on foot or by horseback. We’ll also have the chance to try the wines for which the area is famous as well as try the local pot kebabs! There will be an opportunity to watch the sunrise from a hot air balloon, or just stay in bed and watch the balloons from the rooftop deck of the hotels with your morning tea. After our relaxing stay in Cappadocia, we’ll make our way to Ephesus! In Ephesus, we’ll have the chance to soak up the sun on the beaches of the Aegean Sea and then take in the history of the ancient Greeks with a visit to one of the ancient Seven Wonders – The Temple of Artemis. We’ll explore the local towns and enjoy a special meal with our local hosts.
